I've started watching Katanagatari recently, and the main character has the inability to distinguish between faces due to the fact he only grew up with his sister and father. If I remember my neuroscience classes from college correctly, this is more or less accurate as to what would happen in real life. The same goes for things like color -- non-exposure to a certain color in one's early development will lead to the brain's inability to process that color in adulthood.Just wondering if any body else came across a scientific accuracy/nuance in anime that made you go, "holy shit, these guys really did their research." http://ift.tt/1Kfg58G
