What's your favourite anime that you never post about?

What's an anime that you really like but never find reason to bring up in rec threads or discussions about favourite characters, soundtrack, setting, etc.?And how far down your list of favourites did you have to go to find something you don't always sing the praises of? http://ift.tt/1SUtmZ5

Have you completely forgotten why you put a certain anime on your Plan to Watch list?

This won't apply to the few among us with enough self control to only have about half a dozen shows on their PTW list at any given time, but if you're someone who will throw anything on there because of the smallest connection to something you've liked in the past, then I bet you have no recollection of why a few anime once appealed to you.So tell us about it and I'm sure someone will come along and try to sell it to you (or try to save you from it). http://ift.tt/251YaAb

Who is the blandest villain in anime?

Anime is so often the domain of bland MCs and charismatic villains. A blank slate of a protagonist can be by design for the purposes of self-insertion and wish fulfilment, but an uninteristing antagonist will usually kill a story dead in my experience. So what anime commited the cardinal sin of making you feel nothing but total indifference towards its Big Bad? http://ift.tt/1NbnJFJ

Anime Word Association Game

Post a word or short phrase as a top-level comment and we'll reply with the first anime that springs to mind.I know this is like asking a fish not to swim but let's try and take it easy with the memes. There are no wrong answers, except for the ones that get downvoted. http://ift.tt/1Nu56QI

Tell us about an anime you're considering picking up and we'll help you figure out if you'll like it

Doesn't matter if it's something from this season, last season, or 20 years ago.Just post the anime, what you'd be hoping for from it or any concerns you have, and people will reply if they think it's the show for you. http://ift.tt/1ZUgkRG

What is your favourite slow-paced anime?

A lot of people simply don't like slow-paced anime, which is fine. A lot of people simply don't like giant fighting robots either. But because of that, it's rare to see something described as slow in a way that isn't a criticism or a warning to prospective viewers. Certain stories benefit from a slower pace, and sometimes it's that slow pace that helps create an immersive atmosphere. So this is a thread for those who like slow. What anime would you recommend to change the opinion of those who don't like the _____ genre?

It's often the case that when we say we don't like a genre, the truth is that we've seen very little of it. I think that's understandable - if you don't like the idea of it, you'll seek out other types of anime instead. But of course the idea we have in our head about a genre isn't going to be true for all the anime within it, soEither recommend an anime that you think will challenge the common preconceptions that many people have about its genreOr post a genre that has never appealed to you (and tell us why/give examples of some shows you tried and didn't like) and /r/anime will try to find you something that might be of interest. http://ift.tt/1Jo4w1E

Unlikely Anime Plots

Simply post a premise or plotline you'd never see in an anime. For example:Slice of life anime about parents working abroad having left there teenager at home to fend for themselves.Moe anime where the main characters are anthropomorphised cicadas.High school sports anime where an enthusiastic main character slowly loses his passion for the sport, eventually giving it up for a life of avoiding failure by never trying. http://ift.tt/1JmmaTq
