BEST WAIFU FOR 2016?!For me, yep! She's just the perfect cutie pie to make your waifu. Not just in Re:Zero, but in all anime this year. I mean, come on. She's cute. She has short hair, which is a plus in my taste. She's strong. She'll take care of you. She can grow a horn, and when she does, mine grows as well, if you know what I mean. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) And what convinced me that she deserves to be the best waifu for me and for everyone else, you're the reason for her to die for. Usually, I prefer aggressive onee-san waifu the most, but Rem is an exception. Heaven Sent Child of Molecular GastronomyFor some reason, I really love her character design... or I just like short-haired girls in general.I incorporated a slightly more realistic body proportions and anatomy on this one. By that, I mean it's slightly more realistic than the original art style of Shokugeki no Soma girls, you know, the boob placement and physics, and other parts of the body. I went through sketching from head to full legs even though the illustration is just about half-body to make sure the anatomy is accurate to life (a particular realistic body proportion that I prefer but of course the head is larger than what true body proportion really is... to give still give the anime feeling).I also originally planned to make this a full cel shade artwork, but since I often study real photos, I can't help but to apply a little bit more realistic shading, particularly the fabrics.Anyway, I hope you like it. :) All kinds of feedback are welcome!Step-by-step process http://ift.tt/29wMZYE
