So I've been watching a lot of cheesy romance anime lately and one of my favorite moments in romance, and it seems to happen at least once in every series, is the moment where the comic relief best friend character suddenly get's really serious and drops a shit ton of wisdom on the main character who's biggest problem is usually that he can't choose which ridiculously attractive girl to date. The main characters best friend always seems to have this ability to, on a dime, turn into a philosopher and put everything into a neat little perspective so people can deal with it easier.So that got me thinking...who is the best "best friend" character? However it is that you define "best" that is. They always seem to be the most relatable people in anime. Either that or I have simply come to the realization that I will never be an MC myself so I naturally relate to the best friends.
