Sharing a Fun trivia : wanna know what MadHouse name stands for?It stands forMA = MAruyama (masao)D = Dezaki (Osamu)House = Hayashi (shigeyuki - aka Rin taro)these are the names of 3 out of 4 founding members of madhouse, who founded madhouse in 1972. 4th member being Yoshiaki Kawajiri.Another fun trivia : When Kawajiri joined Madhouse one of the requirements that they asked him was that if he can play mahjong. He couldn't but he said he canadditional (sad) trivia : Dezaki, maruyama & rintaro dont work at madhouse anymore. Dezaki died in 2010, maruyama left to create MAPPA, rintaro became less active in industry after 2004.Kawajiri however still works at MadHouse, he recently storyboarded 4 episodes of One Punch Man. http://ift.tt/1JQ54f6

The reason behind the dance sequence in Death Parade's OP [Production insight info]
Found this tidbit of info interesting, so sharing it. This is from on interview with Aya suzuki, an animator who worked on death billiardsAG: You worked on the original Death Billiards. Were you ever approached to work on Death Parade when it was turned into a full series?Suzuki: Yeah (laughs), I was. Madhouse contacted me, and then shortly after I met Tachikawa-san and Kurita-san and the team, actually, because they’re good friends of mine. I just couldn’t fit it into my schedule. It’s really bad, because I said I’d definitely work on it. Because when Death Billiardswas in production, the director already had the idea that he wanted to make it into a series anyway — from the very very beginning — and hoped that everybody who worked on Death Billiards would be on Death Parade. But I was the only one who actually couldn’t do it. Most of the guys did go on toDeath Parade. I really wanted to do it, but I just couldn’t fit it into my schedule. And Tachikawa-san was just like “Could you at least just take one scene in the opening sequence?” And I was like, “I’mreallysorry I can’t.” And because he knows that on the side, I do a lot of dancing as well, he said, “If I put a dance sequence in the opening sequence, will you do it?” And then I was like, “Maybe.” [Laughs] And that’s why there’s a dance sequence in the opening, and I still didn’t do it in the end because I still didn’t have the time.Source : http://ift.tt/1IJ4xAE (the whole interview has much more production insights about other studio and popular directors as well) http://ift.tt/1IJ4xAG
