What's the best real life lesson you learned from anime?

I don't mean the obvious stuff like "friends can help you achieve anything." "Do good and good will come to you." "Don't be a dick." Those are lessons no one needs an anime to learn, you learn them through experience. Would anyone be interested in a Higurashi No Kaku Koro Ni(AKA When They Cry) rewatch? Ive been seeing a lot of people mentioning it when recommending for dark, horror, and mystery anime.
