What does god-tier anime music sound like?

/r/anime, what's your favorite anime music? I'm not talking about OPs or EDs, just insert songs or songs that would appear on the OST.For me, the music of an anime is the final pillar between an 8-9/10 and a 10/10, and whether or not the composer creates a consistent soundtrack which 1) sounds good and 2) services the style of the show, in my opinion, makes or breaks an otherwise good show. A mediocre-to-good show like SnK can be highly redeemed by an incredible OST, in my opinion. So, what are your favorites? It would also be great if you added a small blurb about why you like it!They don't have to be epic, sad, unsettling, etc.. The only qualification here is whether or not the song is good. I want to know what /r/ anime considers god-tier, for one reason or another. Here are my current ten favorites, in no particular order:Counterattack Mankind : Shingeki no KyojinIt's epic and distressful, but somehow optimistic. SnK is one of my definitive favorite OSTs.Sis puella magica! : Puella Magica Madoka MagicaI adore this fantasy melody that's still unsettling.鬼龍G@キLL : Kill la KillIt's Satsuki's theme: fittingly epic and distressing.Le chant de Roma : Akame ga Kill! This song is haunting. Particularly the intro.Madder Sky : Code GeassEmotional because of how it was set against the finale of Code Geass. All of you is all of me : No Game No LifeIt's upbeat and epic. Played during the "Coulomb's Force" scene in NGNL.Kizuna : Fairy TailIt's so sad. It particularly reminds me of a time when Fairy Tail was good, and that makes me nostalgic. Here to Higher : Unbreakable Machine-DollThis is an anime I knew nothing about until its soundtrack started showing up in my YouTube feed. The OST for this show is unspeakably good.Fanfare for the Brave - Full Metal Alchemist: BrotherhoodIntensely emotional. The instrumentation is impeccable.Unlimited Blade Works - Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade WorksA big sound with awesome composition that builds from a quiet melody to a powerful battle theme. http://ift.tt/1iD7YMT
