It's time for another of the seminal titles from the 80s. Last year, we did Legend of the Galactic Heroes. So now we'll tackle another favorite of long-time anime fans and one of the major space operas in anime: Super Dimensional Fortress Macross.Directed by Noboru Ishiguro (Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Space Battleship Yamato, and the 1980 remake of Astro Boy). Created by Shouji Kawamori (AKB0048, Escaflowne, and mechanical designer of Ghost In The Shell and Outlaw Star). And instrumental in starting the career of J-Pop idol Mari Iijima.Now, this will be only Macross itself for this particular rewatch. Should this go well, I will be lining up the remainder of the series in the future for your perusal. And along those lines, this will also not be for The Robotech Saga: Macross.
