The Town Without Me- An essay by Kayo Hinazuki (rough transcribing)

When I'm older, when I'm old enough to go somewhere alone. I want to go to a distant country, I want to go to a distant island, I want to go to an uninhabited island. I want to go to an island with no pain or sadness. Without children, classmates, teachers, or my mom. On that island, I can climb trees when I want to climb, swim in the sea when I want to swim and sleep when I want to sleep. On that island, I think of the town without me. Children go to school as usual, the adults go to work as usual, and Mom eats breakfast as usual. When I think of the town without me, I feel relieved, I feel free. http://ift.tt/1QPVaTa
