[WT!] Tonari no Seki-kun - A comedy for everyone.

Watch this: Tonari no Seki-kunEpisodes: 21 (7 minute length)Year: 2014CrunchyrollWhat is Tonari no Seki-kun?Tonari no Seki is a series of 7 minute shorts. It has a simple premise, yet because of the short length, no episode feels like it overstays its welcome. The show is purely comedy and has no overarching plot whatsoever. The show revolves around a girl named Rumi who sits next to a boy called Seki-kun in their classroom. Seki-kun, or "The Master of Killing Time", always has some sort of toy or elaborate game that he brings to class to play with. Despite trying to ignore Seki-kun, Rumi always finds herself captivated by his actions. Much of the comedy comes from Rumi's reactions to what Seki-kun is doing. She sometimes plays the "straight man" but her reactions are diverse enough as to where she doesn't always overreact.Though we never get to hear Seki-kun's thought process on what he's doing, Rumi tends to form her own stories and narrate the events that go on (in her head). From Rumi's point of view, Seki-kun has a sadistic side and comes up with tragic scenarios that doesn't end well for some of the toys. She usually ends up becoming emotionally invested in her own delusions and sometimes tries to interferes with whatever Seki-kun is doing in order for the "story" to have a happy ending. We never get to hear Seki-kun speak but through grunts, facial expressions, and his body language you can always tell what's on his mind. There aren't many other characters, but the ones that do show up add an extra spin to the usual time killing. Why Should You Watch it?The show has a G rating, but don't think that it's solely for kids. Anyone can find the show's humor funny and some may even find it relatable - we all knew that kid that would always mess around in class. One of the highlights of the show is the AMAZING voice acting of Kana Hanazawa. She nails the role perfectly while able to easily go through a wide range of emotions and make the reactions of Rumi's character priceless. There's tons of expression in her voice.Though there's not much character development, Rumi does become more involved in Seki-kun's distractions as the show progresses. Their interactions are cute and you may even root for them to be a OTP.TLDRTonari no Seki-kun is a fun comedy that has tons of reaction faces and cute interactions between the main characters. It's short time frame allows you to watch multiple episodes in a shorter time frame than a regular show.Check out the OP and the ED! http://ift.tt/1SK8He8
