[WT!] Wolf Children: A Tale of Parenthood

Hey guys! This is my first WT post, but after watching this and seeing no WT for it, I felt obligated to write this up! So please bear with me!Watch This: Wolf Children (Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki)Type: Film (1 hr 57 min)Year: 2012MALIMDBPosterTrailerMy Rating: 9/10_____________________________________________________________________What is Wolf Children?Another fantastic movie by Mamoru Hosoda, who has also produced Summer Wars, and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Wolf Children starts with college student Hana meeting a mysterious man in college. After becoming closer to the man, he reveals to Hana that he is a wolf man, with the ability to shift from wolf and man mostly at will. Together they have two kids, Yuki and Ame. However, the wolf man suddenly dies, leaving Hana to care for the two kids on her own._____________________________________________________________________Why should you watch it?Wolf Children is a heartwarming film with a lighthearted aura that shows Hana's struggle and joy while raising her unique children alone. Focusing on Hana's ever-present maternal love for her two children, Wolf Children shows her journey through parenthood as Yuki and Ame slowly grow up before your very eyes, taking their separate paths towards adulthood. The art and filming of this movie is exemplary, and has one of my favorite shots in anime. It gives off a calming atmosphere, perfectly fitting the movie.Personally, this movie made me call up my mom and tell her I loved her. If you want to watch something about the struggles of parenthood and the triumph of parental love, this movie is for you. It is a beautiful little film full of both fuzziness and melancholy which will leave a faint smile on your face and tears in your eyes after the credits roll. http://ift.tt/1Nwcbe2
